BEFORE YOUR FIRST VISIT | TRY N FLY
You can fly if you:
– Are at least 7 years old
– Are at least 120 cm tall
– Weigh no more than 120 kg
If you have issues with your back, neck, or shoulders – or if you’re pregnant – we recommend waiting. Please note that we have a strict zero-tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol.
During a Try n Fly Flight, the speed is approximately 90-130 km/h. That’s like being outside in a storm, but don’t worry – we have a safety system that lets you experience all the thrill but without the risks.
Certified proflyers often have higher wind speeds – up to 180 km / h.
You’ll wear a harness under your wingsuit which secures you to an intelligent security system that allows you to fly freely but at the same time prevents you from hitting the ceiling, the walls or the floor. In addition it helps you get balance. You’ll never be alone in the tunnel but always have an instructor with you.
Plan for about one hour for the full experience.
Want to take it to the next level? Put on the VR headset and dive straight into one of the most visual and extreme experiences in the world – a wingsuit BASE jump from a 900-meter cliff, virtually. You’ll be flying safely in the tunnel, but experiencing a lifelike BASE jump close to the mountain walls. The adrenaline is real!
WANT TO BECOME A CERTIFIED WINGSUIT PILOT (PROFLYER)?
Yes, we have lots of customer come here with no prior experience to train wingsuit flying! You’ll learn the basics in our safety and guidance system. To be able to fly freely without the assist system you will probably need 30–60 minutes or more to master the flying.
No. Everybody must use the safety system in the beginning. Not until our staff gives you permission, you can become certified for flights without the safety system. It generally takes approximately 30-40 minutes for experienced wingsuiters to get certified to fly off the safety system.
It of course differs between different people. But in general it takes approximately 30-40 minutes for experienced skydivers and wingsuiters to get certified to fly off the safety system. About an hour without any prior experience.
Day 1 – Start-Up Training
• Time: 30-60 minutes with coaching
• Your first visit begins with our Start-Up training program. This is a comprehensive foundation, including safety briefings, a how-to guide and flight training. You’ll start in our Assist system and work towards becoming a Certified Indoor Wingsuit Proflyer. After this session, you’ll be able to safely perform solo belly flying in the tunnel.
• Flight time: Usually 30-60 minutes, split into 10-minute sessions with four flights of 2.5 minutes each.
• Video Overview: Watch a short video to see an overview of our Start-Up training on YouTube.
Some customers continue beyond Day 1 into Basic Skill Training. Flying more than 30 minutes on Day 1 is possible, but more than 60 minutes can be overwhelming and is not recommended.
Day 2–3 – Basic Skill Training
• Time: 30-50 minutes per day with coaching
• Next, you’ll progress into Basic Skill Training with a Flight Master instructing you. You’ll practice essential skills, including 2-way belly and back flying, and work on skill-improving exercises.
• This phase typically includes 30-90 minutes of flight time, depending on your rate of progression.
• You can opt to use your own intermediate suit during this phase.
Day 3–5 – Advanced Training
• Time: 30-50 minutes per day
• This phase focuses on advanced training in your area of interest. Popular options include acrobatics, transitions, advanced 2/3-way flying, Big Suit, and Tracking Suit training. We use our Adjustable Angle System to offer the best training conditions, with glide ratios ranging from 1.5 to 2.7.
• Training is coached by one of our expert Flight Masters.
• You may also choose to fly with friends for 2/3-way sessions, typically after completing the Basic Skill Training (Days 3–5).
• A mix of coached flying and shared sessions with a friend is also popular.
